Title: Energy Conservation Standards and Coverage Determination for Fans and Blowers | |
Abstract:
In accordance with 42 U.S.C. 6312(b) and 6311(2), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) considered whether to include fans and blowers as covered equipment. DOE determined that fans and blowers are the type of equipment that consumes energy, is distributed in commerce for industrial or commercial use, and is not a covered product defined in 42 USC 6291(a)(2) other than a component of a covered product with respect to which there is in effect a determination under section 6312(c). As such, DOE is classifying certain fans and blowers as covered equipment and established a definition of the term fans. The final determination was inadvertently published as 1905-AC55. |
