Title: Energy Conservation Standards for Commercial Pre-Rinse Spray Valves | |
Abstract:
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has initiated a rulemaking to determine whether any new or amended energy conservation standards would satisfy the relevant requirements of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act for commercial pre-rinse spray valves (CPSVs). DOE has initially determined that the energy conversation standards for CPSVs do not need to be amended at this time because the projected energy and water savings are not significant when considering the potential for equipment switching to higher flow-rate products and the estimated additional burden on manufacturers associated with amended standards. Once completed, this rulemaking will fulfill DOE’s statutory obligation to either propose amended energy conservation standards for these products or to determine that the existing standards do not need to be amended. The Notification of Proposed Determination was inadvertently published as RIN 1905-AE56. |
