Title: Test Procedures for Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps | |
Abstract:
The Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended, requires the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to amend test procedures with respect to packaged terminal air conditioners and heat pumps at least once every 7 years, if it determines that amended test procedures would more accurately produce test results which measure energy efficiency, or make a determination not to amend test procedures. Once completed, this rulemaking will fulfill DOE’s statutory obligation to either propose amended standards for this equipment or determine that the existing standards do not need to be amended. The early assessment review request for information, 85 FR 78967 (12/08/2020) was published under the incorrect RIN (1904-AE80). |
