View Rule

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is amending appendix A to 10 CFR part 810 concerning unclassified assistance to foreign atomic energy activities.  These regulations provide that persons subject to the jurisdiction of the United States who engage directly or indirectly in the production of special nuclear material outside the United States must be authorized to do so by the Secretary of Energy.  The proposed rule would update the list of generally authorized destinations listed in appendix A by removing Colombia from the list of generally authorized destinations and expanding the scope of Mexico’s status as a generally authorized destination.
