Title: ●Reconsideration of the 2020 National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP): Miscellaneous Organic Chemical Manufacturing Residual Risk and Technology Review
Abstract:

On August 12, 2020, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized amendments to the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP): Miscellaneous Organic Chemical Manufacturing Residual Risk and Technology Review (2020 MON rule). In the 2020 MON rule, EPA determined that the remaining risks after promulgation of the revised NESHAP are acceptable and provide an ample margin of safety. Subsequently, EPA received and granted petitions for reconsideration of two issues regarding the risk estimate for ethylene oxide used to assess cancer risk for the source category. In this proposed action, the EPA is addressing these reconsideration issues.
