Title: ●Employee Indemnification Regulations 
Abstract:

CNCS is implementing employee indemnification regulations pursuant to the Federal Employee Liability Reform and Tort Compensation Act of 1988 (FELRTCA), 28 U.S.C. 2679(b)(1). The proposed rule allows the Agency to indemnify a present or former Agency employee who is personally named as a defendant in a civil suit in State or federal court for conduct arising within the scope of his/her employment. Further, the proposed rule provides the procedures for handling lawsuits against AmeriCorps employees arising within the scope of their office or employment.
