Title: Loans in Areas Having Special Flood Hazards; Interagency Questions and Answers Regarding Private Flood Insurance 
Abstract:

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Farm Credit Administration, and National Credit Union Administration (collectively, the Agencies) issued a proposal to supplement the Interagency Questions and Answers Regarding Flood Insurance with new questions and answers regarding the acceptance of flood insurance policies issued by private insurers.  These questions and answers assist lenders in meeting their responsibilities under the Agencies’ private flood insurance final rule issued in February 2019, and increases public understanding of the Agencies’ respective flood insurance regulations.   The Agencies solicited public comments and are reviewing these comments in anticipation of final action.
