Title: Regulatory Reform Initiative: Streamlining Surety Bond Guarantee Program | |
Abstract:
The Office of Surety Guarantees (OSG) published an Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) on June 3, 2019 (84 FR 25496) to request feedback from the public on how SBA can streamline the Surety Bond Guarantee (SBG) Program. The surety industry has made market changes over the years and OSG wants to ensure that the program regulations align with industry processes, systems, and standards. SBA’s objective is to use the feedback, particularly from the surety industry, as a basis for proposing changes that would maximize the benefits afforded by surety participation in the SBG Program, and support and stimulate small business growth. |
