Title: ●Fisheries of the Northeastern United States; Atlantic Mackerel; 2022 Interim Action | |
Abstract:
This action would set the allowable catch for 2022 to reduce overfishing on a temporary basis while a revised rebuilding plan is developed. The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council recommended we take action to reduce potential mackerel harvest until a revised rebuilding plan for 2022 and beyond is developed. The Council is expected to adopt a revised rebuilding plan in 2022, which would become effective by January 2023, if approved. |
