Title: ●Installation Entry Policy | |
Abstract:
This final rule removes the regulation prescribing Department of the Air Force installation commander authorities for enforcing order within or near installations under their jurisdiction and controlling entry to those installations. Specifically this CFR authorized installation commanders to implement random checks of vehicles and pedestrians, to maintain order, grant or deny installation access, deny demonstrations for partisan political purposes or due to mission interference, and to issue barment orders. This part is outdated and Department of the Air Force installation commanders maintain these authorities through Public Law, US Code, and DoD instruction. Therefore, this part is unnecessary and can be removed from the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). |
