Title: Improving Infection Prevention and Control in Long Term Care Facilities (CMS-3405) | |
Abstract:
This proposed rule would revise the infection control requirements that Long-Term Care facilities must meet to participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. These proposed changes are necessary to protect the health and safety of nursing home residents and reflect lessons learned as result of the COVID-19 public health emergency. This rule would reflect this Administration’s commitment to strengthen requirements for on-site infection preventionists and integrate pandemic lessons into nursing home requirements. |
