Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Threatened Species Status With Section 4(d) Rule for Pearl River Map Turtle and Four Other Turtle Species
Abstract:

FWS will make a final determination on our proposal to list the Pearl River map turtle as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act (Act) with a section 4(d) rule and to list the Pascagoula map turtle (Graptemys gibbonsi), Alabama map turtle (Graptemys pulchra), Barbour’s map turtle (Graptemys barbouri), and Escambia map turtle (Graptemys ernsti) as threatened species under the Act due to similarity of appearance to the Pearl River map turtle with a section 4(d) rule. These turtles are found in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
