Abstract:

Through this advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM), U.S. Coast Guard will seek input about the introduction, development, and implementation of cyber risk management on commercial vessels, and in ports and waterfront facilities. The Coast Guard will also seek input about barriers to the implementation of cyber risk management into safety management systems, vessel security plans, and facility security plans.  The ANPRM will solicit the public’s view on issues related to the opportunities, challenges, and impacts of cyber security and cyber safety on commercial vessels, ports, and waterfront facilities.
