Title: Test Procedure for Televisions
Abstract:

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is considering whether to amend the test procedure for television sets consistent with the Energy Policy and Conservation Act, as amended (EPCA). The Department is reviewing the existing test procedure for televisions pursuant to its 7-year look-back requirement in 42 U.S.C. 6293(b)(1)(A). Consistent with EPCA, DOE may propose to amend the test procedure for this product or issue a determination that no amendments to the current test procedure are required. Once completed, this rulemaking will fulfill DOE’s statutory obligation to either propose an amended test procedure for this product or determine that the existing test procedure does not need to be amended.
