Title: Test Procedures for Electric Motors
Abstract:

The Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended, requires the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to amend the test procedures with respect to electric motors at least once every 7 years, if it determines that amended test procedures would more accurately produce test results measuring the energy efficiency of electric motors, or make a determination not to amend the test procedures. Once completed, this rulemaking will fulfill DOE’s statutory obligation to either propose an amended test procedure or determine that the existing test procedure does not need to be amended.
