Title: ●Energy Conservation Standards for Hearth Heaters | |
Abstract:
The Department of Energy (DOE) is considering setting energy conservation standards for Hearth Heaters as a class of Direct Heating Equipment, subject to the provisions in 42 U.S.C. 6295(o) and (p). As stated in the November 2021 Final Determination for Energy Conservation Standards for Direct Heating Equipment, hearth heaters (vented or unvented) providing space heating would be classified as vented or unvented (as applicable) home heating equipment, but there are not currently energy conservation standards for such products (86 FR 66403). |
