Title: ●Promoting Climate Resilience, Advancing Equity, and Streamlining Environmental Review Procedures (FR-6323) | |
Abstract:
This proposed rule would revise HUD’s regulations at 24 CFR parts 50 and 58 to update its requirements to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act and related environmental laws, authorities, and HUD environmental standards. It would describe HUD environmental review responsibilities for considering climate impacts, advancing environmental justice in decisionmaking, and ensuring site safety, while eliminating duplicative procedural steps that are within the purview of the agency to reduce processing timelines. |
