Title: General Order Relating to Taking Certain Actions in Connection With Aircraft Exported or Reexported to Iran | |
Abstract:
This rule renders inapplicable a prohibition on taking certain actions in connection with certain aircraft and related items that have been exported or reexported to Iran that would otherwise apply if the actor had knowledge that a violation of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the Export Administration Act of 1979, or any order, license, or authorization issued thereunder, has occurred in connection with such items. This rule applies to activities ordinarily incident and necessary to transactions authorized by the Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control, or in some instances, by BIS or by both. This rule does not absolve any party of liability for the earlier export or reexport to Iran. |
