Title: National Wildlife Refuge System; Unattended Property on Alaska Refuges
Abstract:

This proposed rule would shorten the timeframe of the regulatory provision allowing private individuals to leave personal property on National Wildlife Refuge System lands in Alaska for up to 12 months. Additionally, this proposed rule would add fuel storage limitations to the regulations to reduce the risk of contamination of refuge lands, waters, and wildlife from improper fuel storage on Alaska refuges. These proposed revisions will bring the Service into closer alignment with the National Park Service regulations on unattended property on Alaska National Parks.
