Title: ●Revision of the Regulations Implementing the Wild Bird Conservation Act of 1992
Abstract:

FWS will propose to revise the regulations implementing the Wild Bird Conservation Act. The revised regulations would help us more effectively promote species conservation and provide more clarity to the public on the requirements under the Act. The update to these regulations would use approximately 30 years of Wild Bird Conservation Act implementation experience to clarify the requirements under the Act, permit application procedures, and issuance criteria for permits. In addition, the rule would reduce the administrative burden on the Service and the public by lengthening the duration of cooperative breeding program approvals.
