Title: Department of the Interior Acquisition Regulation Governance Titles
Abstract: The Office of Acquisition and Property Management proposes changes to the Department of the Interior Acquisition Regulation to update its nomenclature to align with recent changes to agency procurement governance. The senior GS-1102 contracting subject matter expert in a Department of the Interior bureau or office has been designated as the Head of the Contracting Activity (formerly designated as the Bureau Procurement Chief). The Senior Executive who is accountable for the contracting activity has been designated as the Bureau Procurement Executive (this position was formerly designated as the Head of the Contracting Activity). These amendments enable acquisition programs to more efficiently meet the Department's mission needs and comply with all applicable law and regulations.
