Title: Imposition of Special Measure Against the Islamic Republic of Iran as a Jurisdiction of Primary Money Laundering Concern | |
Abstract:
In a notice of finding published on November 25, 2011 (see 76 FR 72756) in the Federal Register, the Secretary of the Treasury, through his delegate, the Director of FinCEN, found that reasonable grounds exist for concluding that the Islamic Republic of Iran (Iran) is a jurisdiction of primary money laundering concern pursuant to 31 U.S.C. 5318A. FinCEN published a final rule regarding Iran on November 4, 2019 (see 84 FR 59302) which became effective November 14, 2019. |
