Title: Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Sex and Disability in Programs or Activities Receiving Federal Financial Assistance
Abstract:

The Vocational Education Programs Guidelines for Eliminating Discrimination and Denial of Services on the Basis of Race, Color, National Origin, Sex and Handicap, which are appended to the Department’s implementing regulations for Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, explain the obligations of State agencies to administer the Methods of Administration compliance program to prevent, identify and remedy discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, or disability by its subrecipients that offer career and technical education programs. The proposed regulations would align the Department’s implementing regulations for Title IX and Section 504 with the provision governing the Methods of Administration program in the Department’s implementing regulations for Title VI.
