Title: Resumption of Population Estimates Challenge Program and Proposed Changes to the Program | |
Abstract:
During the first quarter of 2023, the Census Bureau will resume the Population Estimates Challenge Program to provide eligible entities the opportunity to file requests for the review of population estimates for 2021 and subsequent years. Pursuant to section 4 of Title 13 of the United States Code, the Secretary may issue rules and regulations as she deems necessary to carry out her functions and duties under Title 13. The Population Estimates Challenge program was previously suspended between 2020 and 2022 to accommodate the taking of the 2020 Census, and the evaluation of the data. |
