Title: Pacific Coast Groundfish Regulatory Housekeeping and Administrative Streamlining Action | |
Abstract:
This action would carry out a number of housekeeping and administrative streamlining changes to the regulations governing the Pacific Coast groundfish fisheries. This action would be taken under MSA 305(d) in order to clean-up obsolete regulations, correct terminology, correct web addresses, remove obsolete administrative requirements, and finalize administrative transitions to electronic notifications and forms. The majority of this proposed rulemaking is housekeeping and it is expected to improve the clarity of the regulations. Some aspects of this action remove duplicative requirements for mail notifications or mail-based record-keeping and reporting, which are also undertaken electronically. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many administrative notifications and reporting requirements were moved to electronic, this action would revise the regulations to be consistent with current practice. |
