Title: Strengthening Oversight of Accrediting Organizations (AO) and Preventing AO Conflict of Interest, and Related Provisions (CMS-3367) | |
Abstract:
This proposed rule would set forth a number of provisions to strengthen the oversight of accrediting organizations (AO) by addressing conflicts of interest, establishing consistent standards, processes and definitions, and updating the validation and performance standards systems. In addition, this rule solicits comments from stakeholders and AOs to refine and revise the AO oversight standards and processes. This rule also includes requests for information on timeframes and expectations for the submission of AO applications and public transparency regarding quality and safety issues. |
