Title: Intercountry Adoptions | |
Abstract:
The Department of State proposes revisions to the regulations relating to accreditation of agencies and approval of persons to provide adoption services in intercountry adoption cases. The rule would strengthen certain standards for accreditation and approval. The rule would also establish regulations for relative adoptions and establish procedures for adverse action by the Department. The Department is making these adjustments to provide clarification and updates based on observations and experience with the practical operation of the regulations in the 16 years since the regulations went into effect. |
