Title: Debt Collection Practices 
Abstract:

The Higher Education Act of 1965 and the Debt Collection Improvement Act govern the Department's debt collection practices, including administrative wage garnishment and tax and Federal benefits offsets. The Department plans to propose improvements to debt collection practices in 34 CFR part 30.
