VA implementing the authority enacted in Public Law 114-273, the Charles Duncan Buried With Honor Act Of 2016 that expanded the applicability of VA’s casket and urn benefits, rate allowances and reimbursement provisions for interment of deceased eligible veterans in a veterans’ cemetery of a State or Tribal Organization that has received a grant under 38 U.S.C. 2408. These amendments are in accordance with the President’s priorities that advance equity and support underserved, vulnerable, and marginalized communities.
