Title: ●Reporting to the National Practitioner Data Bank | |
Abstract:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) removes its regulations governing the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) found in part 46 of title 38, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Instead, VA would rely on Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regulations that govern the NPDB, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between VA and HHS, and VA policy. This will allow VA to comply with HHS rules governing the NPDB more easily and effectively. These amendments are in accordance with the President’s priorities that improve service delivery, customer experience, and reduce administrative burdens for those accessing public benefits and services. |
