Title: ●Marking of Toy, Look-Alike and Imitation Firearms | |
Abstract:
On August 9, 2022, the Federal Energy Management Improvement Act Update that amended section 4 of the Federal Energy Management Improvement Act of 1988 (15 USC 5001) was signed into law transferring the implementation and enforcement of the imitation firearms statute from the Department of Commerce to CPSC. In June 2023, OGC will send a briefing package to the Commission with a draft direct final rule creating a new part 1272 that substantively adopts the Department of Commerce rule for the marking of toys, look-alike and imitation firearms with only non-substantive and conforming changes. |
