Title: Trade Regulation Rule Concerning Reviews and Endorsements | |
Abstract:
On November 8, 2022, the Federal Trade Commission issued an advance notice of proposed rulemaking that proposed commencing a rulemaking proceeding to address certain deceptive or unfair uses of reviews and endorsements. 87 FR 67424 (Nov. 8, 2022). The Commission solicited written comment, data, and arguments concerning the need for such a rulemaking to prevent unfair or deceptive marketing utilizing reviews and endorsements. The comment period closed on January 9, 2023. Staff anticipates Commission action by June 2023. |
