Title: Regulatory Reform Initiative: Small Business Investment Company--Regulatory Streamlining | |
Abstract:
On August 15, 2017, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) published a request for information seeking input from the public on SBA regulations that should be repealed, replaced, or modified because they are obsolete, unnecessary, ineffective, or burdensome (82 FR 38617). On September 30, 2020, SBA published a proposed rule (85 FR 61654) identifying regulations proposed for removal or revision that apply to Specialized Small Business Investment Companies licensed under the now-repealed Section 301(d) of the Small Business Investment Act of 1958 and certain other types of SBICs that SBA no longer licenses. |
