Title: Civil Rights Compliance Requirements | |
Abstract:
Rural Development (RD) expects to publish a proposed rule to update policies and procedures for implementing the regulations of the Department of Agriculture issued pursuant to title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, Executive Order 11246 and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974, as they relate to the USDA Rural Development or its successor agency under Public Law 103-354. This proposed rule would cover all those items that are specific to RD and not already addressed in 7 CFR part 15. The Agency intends to address requirements that awardees must meet to comply with Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights laws and various executive orders and enhance customer experience with updates to processes and procedures the first time in over 30 years. |
