Abstract:
In response to Executive Order 14008, Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad, the Department of the Interior prepared a Report on the Federal Oil and Gas Leasing Program.” The report stated that the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, through a new "Fitness to Operate" standard, would establish safety, environmental, and financial responsibilities for companies to meet in order to operate on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf.
