Title: Bipartisan Safer Communities Act -- Access to Records of Stolen Firearms in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) | |
Abstract:
The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, Public Law No. 117-159, authorized access to records of stolen firearms in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) by a person who is licensed as an importer, manufacturer, or dealer of firearms. This rule would provide the procedures by which this access will be permitted for the purpose of verifying whether firearms offered for sale to such licensees have been stolen. |
