Title: ● Consideration of Non-LPR Cancellation of Removal Applications 
Abstract:

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) (the Departments) are issuing an advance notice of proposed rulemaking to seek public feedback regarding whether to propose immigration regulations specifying that certain nonpermanent residents may be eligible to apply for cancellation of removal without first being placed in removal proceedings under section 240 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Public feedback will inform the Departments’ consideration of further rulemaking action.
