| Title: Residency Requirement for Persons Acquiring Firearms | |
|
Abstract:
The final rule would adopt, with minor revisions, interim final rules that required a firearms purchaser's affirmative statement of his or her State of residence on ATF Form 4473 (Firearms Transaction Record) when acquiring a firearm from a Federal firearms licensee, and that removed the 90-day State residency requirement for noncitizens lawfully present in the United States when purchasing or acquiring a firearm. |
