Abstract:
FinCEN is considering issuing this rulemaking to strengthen the administration of the regulation implementing the statutory safe harbor that allows eligible financial institutions and associations of financial institutions to cooperatively share information regarding activities that may involve terrorist acts or money laundering and allows cooperative information sharing among regulatory authorities, law enforcement authorities, and financial institutions. In addition, FinCEN is also considering issuing this rulemaking to implement regulatory protections of information shared at FinCEN Exchanges. |
