Title: Chartering and Field of Membership (FOM) Regulations  
Abstract:

The NCUA Board issued a proposed rule to amend its chartering and field of membership regulations. The proposed regulatory amendments would remove outdated requirements, simplify the charter amendment approval process, and clarify regulatory language, particularly for federal credit unions seeking to serve underserved areas. The Board will review the comments and consider final action.
