Abstract:

The Department of Defense is publishing a final rule to exempt the Army Safety Management Program Records (ASMPR) system of records from certain provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974. This rule proposes to exempt Army Safety Management Program Records (ASMPR) from 5 U.S.C. 552a(c)(3), (d)(1)-(4), (e)(1), (e)(4)(G), (H), and (I), and (f) pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552a(k)(2). The proposed exemptions aim to prevent disclosure of investigory material compiled for law enforcement purposes and certain requirements of the Privacy Act may interfere with the effective execution of these activities.
