Abstract:

FWS will make a final determination on the proposed rule to list the Kern Canyon slender salamander (Batrachoseps simatus) as a threatened species with a section 4(d) rule and the relictual slender salamander (Batrachoseps relictus) as an endangered species under the Endangered Species Act. These salamanders are found in California. FWS will also make a final determination on our proposal to designate critical habitat for the Kern Canyon and relictual slender salamanders.
