Title: Migratory Bird Subsistence Harvest in Alaska; Harvest Regulations for Migratory Birds in Alaska | |
Abstract:
FWS will revise the subsistence harvest regulations for migratory birds in Alaska for the 2025 season. The subsistence season occurs in spring and summer in Alaska, when the hunting of migratory birds is otherwise prohibited in the United States. These regulations, which are developed under a co-management process involving FWS, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, and Alaska Native representatives, allow for the continuation of customary and traditional subsistence uses of migratory birds in Alaska. The revised regulations would prescribe regional information on when and where the harvesting of birds may occur. |
