Title: Subsistence Management Regulations for Public Lands in Alaska-Transfer of Regulations | |
Abstract:
This rule will transfer the regulations that implement the Federal Subsistence Management Program (Program) between two different titles of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR): From 50 CFR part 100 to 43 CFR part 51. The Program provides a priority for taking of fish and wildlife resources for subsistence uses in Alaska by residents of rural areas in Alaska. This rulemaking action is necessary to effectuate the transfer of Program administration from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy, Management, and Budget in the Division of Policy and Environmental Management. |
