Title: Exchange Visitor Program--Insurance | |
Abstract:
The Department of State is publishing a notice of proposed rulemaking proposing an increase to the maximum deductible for health insurance that all exchange visitors and their dependents, if any, must carry while in the United States in J visa status, and changing the coverage requirements from per accident or illness to per contract. The NPRM also reorganizes the section of the Exchange Visitor Program regulations containing insurance requirements, clarifies existing requirements, and eliminates some unnecessary language. |
