Title: Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 | |
Abstract:
The Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006, as amended by the Strengthening Career and Technical Education Act (Perkins V), provides formula grants to State eligible agencies to develop more fully the academic knowledge and technical and employability skills of secondary education students and postsecondary education students who elect to enroll in career and technical education programs and programs of study. The Department plans to issue proposed regulations to support states in expanding high-quality CTE programs that are responsive to the labor market and improve student opportunities and outcomes. |
