Title: State Authorization 
Abstract:

The Secretary plans to amend regulations on state authorization as a component of institutional eligibility in 34 CFR 600.2 and 600.9.  This regulation was included in the Program Integrity and Institutional Rulemaking process.  This included 3 days of virtual public hearings on this topic on April 11-13, 2024, giving the public an opportunity to share their views on this regulation.  In addition, there were 3 negotiated rulemaking sessions from January 8-11, February 5-8 and March 4-7, 2024, which also provided an opportunity for virtual public comments from the public each day of the rulemaking.
