Title: Inspector Certification for the National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE) Inspections (FR-6471) | |
Abstract:
This proposed rule will establish authority for an NSPIRE inspector certification program administered through the Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC). HUD is committed to improving the consistency and performance of inspectors through a proposed inspector certification and oversight program. The inspector certification program would ensure that HUD inspectors possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to properly conduct NSPIRE inspections. The proposed inspector certification regulation would set minimum qualifications of inspectors, testing requirements and continuing education requirements. Additionally, the rule would establish REAC’s authority to create a code of ethics and business rules for inspectors. |
