Title: Automobile Adaptive Equipment Quality and Safety Standards | |
Abstract:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to amend its regulations governing the provision of assistance to certain veterans and servicemembers requiring automobile adaptive equipment (AAE). This rulemaking would amend the regulations to comply with the Veterans Mobility Safety Act of 2016, which required VA to update its quality and safety standards for AAE and its installation. This rulemaking would also amend the regulations on eligibility for AAE in order to be consistent with statutory requirements. |
