Title: Petition for Rulemaking to Revoke the Footbrake Requirement for Sidewalk Bicycles | |
Abstract:
On September 21, 2022, Don Mays of Product Safety Insights, LLC requested that the Commission initiate rulemaking to eliminate the footbrake requirement for sidewalk bicycles in 16 CFR 1512.5(e). CPSC docketed the petition and, on May 25, 2023, published a Federal Register notice seeking comments on the petition. 89 FR 33857. The comment period closed on July 24, 2023. |
